The Opportunity

This full-time position offers a competitive salary of approximately $83,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. The schedule is 0.7 FTE, working 56 hours every two weeks, with a mix of evening and overnight shifts. You will also have the opportunity to work a rotation every other weekend. We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate oncology nurse who is eager to learn new skills, possesses excellent communication and critical thinking abilities, and is prepared to handle high levels of acuity.

Your Key Responsibilities

As an Oncology RN, your primary duties will include:

• Assessing patient needs and identifying expected nursing outcomes;
• Developing individualized nursing plans of care;
• Implementing interventions as needed during treatment based on the plan of care;
• Evaluating care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes;
• Using communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes;
• Coordinating care with members of the healthcare team and delegating responsibilities to others as appropriate;
• Demonstrating the ability to advance care by utilizing standards, guidelines, care pathways, and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes;
• Promoting a culture of evidence-based practice (EBP) by participating in available opportunities;

Education and Experience

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

• MN RN licensure;
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN);
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through Health Care Providers;
• One year of current medical/surgical RN experience in a hospital setting is desired;
• Certification in related specialty is helpful;
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher is preferred.
