Position Overview:
We are looking for a Lead Automation Specialist to join our team at Axxum Technologies. This role is pivotal in our Product Management Transformation initiative, aimed at enhancing the technical support and services we provide to our clients.

As a Senior DevOps Automation Engineer, you will be instrumental in establishing a robust CI/CD and Azure DevOps (ADO) framework that will set a benchmark for the entire organization.

Your expertise in Agile and SCRUM methodologies, along with your daily use of Azure DevOps, Source Control Branching, and Jira integration, will be essential in this role.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategies for continuous integration and release management for various services and solutions.
  • Promote the adoption of innovative application deployment methodologies.
  • Enhance and maintain tools that facilitate continuous integration, automated testing, and release management.
  • Guide development teams in adopting continuous integration practices and best DevOps methodologies.
  • Create and oversee pipelines for code generation, testing, and deployment processes.
  • Collaborate closely with developers and engineers to establish comprehensive workflow automation.
  • Support distributed software and controls, development teams, and diverse environments.
  • Optimize automated build systems for efficiency.
  • Manage communication channels related to builds and document build procedures effectively.
  • Oversee the version control system and all associated development tools.
  • Ensure adherence to established software configuration management practices.
  • Define and maintain consistency in naming conventions, libraries, and versioning.

Required Qualifications:
  • A minimum of five years of proven experience in a similar capacity, handling projects of comparable size and complexity.
  • Extensive knowledge of Agile and SCRUM methodologies, Azure DevOps, Source Control Branching, and Jira integration.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience with at least 6 years in the industry.
  • Deep understanding and hands-on experience with software development life cycles, particularly in build and release engineering.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills, particularly with MS PowerShell.
  • Solid grasp of operating systems, with a preference for Windows and Linux.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as .Net/C# and C++ is advantageous.
  • Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio and Azure DevOps is preferred.
  • Knowledge of SDLC principles and methodologies, including Agile/Scrum, CI, documentation practices, refactoring, and testing techniques.
  • Experience in regulated industries or sectors dealing with sensitive data is highly desirable.
