Position Overview: Axxum Technologies is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to contribute to our transformative initiatives in Product Management. This role is pivotal in redefining how we provide technical support and services to our clientele.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and execute strategies for continuous integration and release management across various services and solutions.
  • Champion the adoption of innovative application deployment methodologies.
  • Enhance and maintain tools for continuous integration, automated testing, and release management.
  • Serve as a technical advisor, guiding development teams in adopting continuous integration practices and optimal DevOps methodologies.
  • Design and oversee pipelines for code generation, testing, and deployment processes.
  • Collaborate closely with developers and engineers to streamline end-to-end workflow automation.
  • Support distributed software and control systems, along with development teams and environments.
  • Optimize automated build systems for efficiency.
  • Manage communication channels related to builds and document procedures effectively.
  • Oversee the version control system and all associated development tools.
  • Ensure adherence to established software configuration management practices.
  • Define and maintain consistency in naming conventions, libraries, and versioning.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five years of proven experience in a similar capacity, managing projects of comparable size and complexity.
  • Extensive experience with Agile and SCRUM methodologies, Azure DevOps (ADO), source control branching, and Jira integration.
  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, complemented by over six years of relevant experience.
  • In-depth understanding of software development life cycles, particularly in build and release engineering.
  • Proficient in scripting and automation, particularly with tools like MS PowerShell.
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems, with a preference for Windows and Linux.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as .Net/C# and C++ is advantageous.
  • Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio and Azure DevOps is preferred.
  • Knowledge of SDLC principles and methodologies, including Agile/Scrum, continuous integration, and good documentation practices.
  • Experience in regulated industries or sectors involving sensitive data is highly desirable.
  • A mindset characterized by self-awareness, integrity, authenticity, and a focus on growth.
