Position Overview:
Navistar is in search of a Senior Reliability Engineering Lead to evaluate the risks and dependability associated with assets at the Springfield Assembly Plant.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervises the execution of failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) for production machinery.
Manages predictive analysis activities for production equipment.
Conducts thorough root cause investigations to identify equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
Develops proactive maintenance strategies to enhance production line efficiency and maintain asset availability.
Reviews the installation of newly acquired equipment and evaluates the reliability of these assets.
Creates and oversees life cycle asset management plans.
Assists in the design and development of custom assets.
Provides technical guidance to the maintenance team to resolve equipment issues.
Monitors overall equipment effectiveness to bolster manufacturing productivity.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Engineering and Reliability or Quality Assurance
OR
Master's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Engineering and Reliability or Quality Assurance
OR
At least 7 years of experience in Engineering and Reliability or Quality Assurance
Additional Qualifications:
Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in production maintenance planning is highly desirable.
Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) INFOR is preferred but not mandatory.
Experience in a unionized work environment.
Knowledge of automated systems and their maintenance requirements.
Understanding of robotics and programmable automation.
Proficiency in preventative maintenance systems.
Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and AutoCAD.
Strong analytical, planning, and organizational capabilities.
Attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication abilities.
Capacity to work collaboratively in a team setting.
