Our outpatient practice in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology is in search of a dedicated RN to enhance our exceptional Women's Health team. We pride ourselves on fostering a collaborative and supportive work atmosphere focused on delivering high-quality, compassionate patient care.


Under the guidance of the Nursing Supervisor and/or Nurse Manager, the RN will deliver nursing assistance to both primary and specialized healthcare providers.

This role involves utilizing the nursing process to work in partnership with the healthcare team to plan, direct, provide, and assess patient care.

The RN is tasked with delivering patient care, triage, consultation, and referrals among team members within the department.


Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Ensuring thorough and quality documentation as mandated by the department.
  • Facilitating resource utilization to achieve patient outcomes (case management).
  • Delivering age-appropriate direct patient care throughout the office visit, including diagnostics, venipuncture, medication administration, and physician assistance as required.
  • Conducting telephone triage, coordinating care, and maintaining documentation.
  • Arranging tests and procedures as necessary within the division and securing prior authorizations as needed.
  • Collaborating with various departments to coordinate multidisciplinary care.
  • Participating in the patient throughput process in the clinic as required (including vital signs, updating medical records, performing diagnostic procedures, assisting physicians and practitioners, facilitating education, and coordinating care at the end of appointments).
  • Working alongside division physicians, administrative personnel, and the Nurse Manager to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and policies.
  • Delegating daily responsibilities to appropriate clinical staff and ensuring task completion.
  • Reviewing and triaging incoming test results as necessary within the division.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree from a state-accredited Registered Nursing program is required.
  • Current RN licensure in New York State is mandatory.
  • Prior nursing experience in an ambulatory care setting or a minimum of one year of nursing experience outside of an ambulatory care environment is essential.
  • Training/certificates in NST and/or Fetal Heart Monitoring are highly desirable.
  • Experience in Labor & Delivery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, or Maternity Services is preferred but not obligatory.
