Our Obstetrics and Gynecology outpatient practice is looking for a dedicated RN to become part of our enthusiastic Women's Health team. We pride ourselves on fostering a collaborative and supportive work atmosphere focused on delivering compassionate patient care.


Under the guidance of the Nursing Supervisor and/or Nurse Manager, the RN will provide essential nursing support to both primary and specialized healthcare providers.

This role involves utilizing the nursing process to work in partnership with the healthcare team to plan, direct, deliver, and assess patient care. The RN is integral to the department, responsible for providing patient care, triage, consultation, and referrals among team members.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure organized and high-quality documentation as mandated by the department.
  • Facilitate resource utilization to achieve patient outcomes (case management).
  • Deliver age-appropriate direct patient care, from patient preparation through to the conclusion of the office visit, including diagnostics, venipuncture, medication administration, and assisting physicians as necessary.
  • Conduct telephone triage, coordinating care and maintaining documentation.
  • Schedule tests and procedures as required within the division and secure prior authorizations as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other departments within and outside the organization to coordinate multidisciplinary care.
  • Engage in the patient throughput process in the clinic as needed (including vital signs, updating medical records, performing diagnostic procedures, assisting physicians and practitioners, facilitating education, and coordinating care at the end of appointments).
  • Work alongside division physicians, administrative staff, and the Nurse Manager to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and policies.
  • Delegate daily tasks to appropriate clinical staff and oversee task completion.
  • Review and triage incoming test results as necessary within the division.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree from a state-accredited Registered Nursing program is required.
  • Current RN licensure in New York State is required.
  • Prior nursing experience in an ambulatory care setting or at least one year of nursing experience in a different setting is necessary.
  • Training/certificates in NST and/or Fetal Heart Monitoring are highly desirable.
  • Experience in Labor & Delivery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, or Maternity Services is preferred but not mandatory.
