Role Overview:

The Customer Service Assistant in the Finance department will act as the main point of contact for clients regarding the logistical handling of military cargo under a specific bill of lading.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary liaison for customers concerning the operational management of military freight.
  • Deliver accurate and timely rate information to clients.
  • Address customer inquiries related to tariffs, shipment status, freight costs, and additional services.
  • Identify potential sales opportunities and communicate them to management or the sales team as instructed.
  • Effectively resolve customer complaints and dissatisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service is necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is essential.
  • Flexibility to work shifts between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. is required.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree or some college coursework is preferred.
  • Experience in the logistics or transportation sector is advantageous.
  • Experience working in a collaborative environment and familiarity with quality management tools is preferred.
