About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Manager to join our team at HomeTeam Pest Defense. As a Service Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our pest control services, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our team members are equipped to deliver it.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily assigned revenue and ensure that it is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain a high level of service quality by monitoring and improving our processes and procedures.
  • Standardize pest control technician service routes to improve route density and increase efficiency.
  • Schedule and review daily routes with technicians to ensure that they are properly equipped and prepared for their tasks.
  • Handle customer complaints and investigate and resolve customer service concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist technicians with field service requests and delinquent accounts, providing support and guidance as needed.
  • Order and maintain equipment, supplies, and materials required for service work, ensuring that our team members have the tools they need to do their jobs effectively.
  • Create a positive work environment by fostering a culture of teamwork, respect, and open communication.
  • Attract and select high-caliber employees, while maintaining a qualified and experienced staff.
  • Actively manage performance and motivate service staff to achieve their goals and objectives.
  • Follow and enforce work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow to subordinates, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain appropriate certification and licensing as required by the state or by branch management.
  • Coordinate training and licensing of new and existing service personnel, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge they need to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Coordinate and/or provide continuing training as needed, to ensure that our team members are up-to-date on the latest techniques and technologies.
  • Maintain truck inventory records and perform periodic inspections to ensure that our vehicles are properly maintained and equipped.
  • Delegate duties and examine work for accuracy and neatness, ensuring that tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Maintain record of all commercial vehicle licenses and pest control licenses, ensuring that our team members are properly certified and licensed.
  • Assist General/Branch Manager in other duties assigned, providing support and guidance as needed.
  • Work weekends as necessary to assist the technicians, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service.
  • Perform all necessary supervisory functions to effectively and efficiently manage the personnel assigned.

Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED; College degree preferred
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must successfully pass background and drug screening
  • Must have experience with sales, marketing, and office administration
  • Experience supervising, coaching, and developing staff
  • 3 or more years' experience in a management role
Physical Demands / Working Environment
  • Candidates must meet physical job requirements and safely perform the job duties with or without accommodations: Safely use a ladder within the manufacturer's weight capacity
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
