Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Operations Director to lead our Data Ops team and drive the growth of our data management capabilities. As a key partner for client and internal teams, you will be responsible for architecting data flows, developing strategies for ensuring marketing data is democratized, reliable, and delivered efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a Data Ops team, ensuring their growth and development as they progress through their careers.
  • Act as a key partner for client and internal teams, architecting data flows and developing strategies for ensuring marketing data is democratized, reliable, and delivered efficiently.
  • Expand current client work, consult on client-side Data Ops, and help clients realize the value of a dedicated team managing Data Ops.
  • Review and assist Data Ops team with SQL scripts and dataflows in data wrangling tools like Alteryx or Google Dataprep.
  • Serve as a knowledge expert for retail media and site data processes, identifying areas of improvement to ensure appropriate turnaround times and data quality standards are being met.
  • Lead evaluations and opportunities with new platforms and solutions for simplifying and/or automating media and site data processes.
  • Manage efficient execution of projects, implementing best practices gained from other Data Ops projects.
  • Build a collaborative team environment, including participation in department-wide training efforts and fostering employee career growth.
  • Lead development of roadmaps for deploying automation solutions and Data Ops projects.
  • Play a key role in defining the technology strategy for data management.
  • Empower your team to live the Digitas values of being open, bold, and curious.
  • Influence teams towards data-informed decision-making and analytical thinking.
  • Promote and drive a culture of process documentation.
  • Provide guidance on process improvements and best practices for data management.
  • Coach and mentor team members.

Requirements

  • 7-9 years of applicable experience in analytics with an advertising agency, management consulting company, or ad tech company.
  • Experience working with retail media data.
  • Strong client relationship and communication skills, experience managing multiple projects across teams.
  • Experience managing a team.
  • A four-year college degree; advanced degree is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Passion for digital marketing and retail media, eagerness to learn in a constantly changing space, and a natural curiosity.
  • Proficient with SQL and data visualization tools (i.e. Tableau, PowerBI, Google Data Studio).
  • Knowledge of digital data technologies (Google Analytics, Google Marketing Platforms, etc.).
  • Knowledge and experience with Python and/or R a plus.
  • Experience working with Google Cloud a plus.

Comfortable in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
