Job Title: Phlebotomy Floater

Location: Stamford, CT

Duration: 3 Months

Shift: 8a-5p

Pay: $20-$22/hour

The Phlebotomist III- Float is a key member of our team, representing the face of our company to patients who visit our facilities. This role involves drawing quality blood samples from patients and preparing those specimens for lab testing while following established procedures. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence with patients while explaining procedures and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide coverage at multiple locations for multiple roles
  • Ensure daily activities of the Patient Service Center/Mobile/Long Term Care/In-Office Phlebotomy are completed accurately and on time
  • Lead one or more PSR on site and provide effective onboarding services to new clients
  • Act as a coach, mentor, instructor, resource advisor for new employees
  • Collaborate with multiple functions, such as Sales, Laboratory Testing Services, IT connectivity, Billing, and Logistics

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred in California, Nevada, and Washington
  • Five years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
  • Minimum 3 years in a PSC/IOP environment preferred
  • Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred
  • Keyboard/data entry experience
