Key Responsibilities- Design and develop robust, testable software for large-scale energy storage systems.
- Follow established software engineering practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality embedded software for Gotion's energy storage Battery Management System (BMS).
- Integrate BMS with client SCADA systems or Energy Management Systems.
- Diagnose and resolve BMS issues encountered in the field.
- Troubleshoot communication challenges between Energy Management Systems and BMS or BMS and SCADA at project locations.
- Work with control systems related to electrical grids, AC/DC power, and power converters.
- Collaborate with BMS product development teams to address integration and communication challenges.
- Participate in BMS product training to gain familiarity with Gotion's BMS.
- Willingness to travel to client sites approximately 40% of the time and work in outdoor environments.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.
- Strong understanding of communication strategies such as CAN to Modbus/TCP/IP or RTU in Master/Slave configurations.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in battery management product design.
- Experience in software technology development and product lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with system analysis tools, including Fault Tree Analysis, FMEA, FMEDA, and software certifications.
- Knowledge of high-voltage battery systems and BMS.
- Experience in the development of Energy Management Systems.
Gotion offers a competitive compensation package, with base pay being one component of the overall remuneration. The expected salary range for this position is between $90,000 and $130,000 USD, contingent upon skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
