Job Title: RF Payload Systems Engineer

The Aerospace Corporation is a leading provider of technical services to the nation's space programs. As a RF Payload Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of cutting-edge spacecraft RF payload capabilities.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled RF Payload Systems Engineer to provide technical expertise and support to our government customers. The successful candidate will have a strong background in RF payload systems, including experience with RF receivers, antennas, and associated components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical advice and support to government customers on the acquisition and operation of spacecraft payload systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement RF payload systems solutions.
  • Conduct analysis and testing to resolve complex technical issues related to RF payload systems.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and reports related to RF payload systems.
  • Participate in source selection activities and provide evaluation of proposed technical designs and risk assessments.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant STEM field.
  • 12 or more years of increasingly more responsible engineering experience.
  • Relevant RF payload experience, including expertise in at least one RF payload area: Electronically Steerable Antennas or RF Receivers.
  • Willing to travel domestically up to 25% of the time.
  • Current and active TS/SCI security clearance and polygraph, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in a relevant STEM field.
  • Direct experience developing NRO spacecraft RF payload systems.
  • Experience with RF receiver and Electronically Steerable Antenna systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate well in the spoken, written, and electronic format.
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, contractors, company peers, and matrixed engineering staff.
