Job Title: Spacecraft Payload Engineer

Space Systems Integration LLC is seeking a highly skilled Spacecraft Payload Engineer to join our team in Chantilly, VA. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the development and integration of spacecraft payloads, with a focus on Wideband Phased Array Antennas and processors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain antenna array and end-to-end payload requirements and specifications
  • Support payload development and verification, including concept of operations (CONOPs) development and test data analysis
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop payload calibration activities and on-orbit verification events
  • Apply knowledge of hardware and software to antenna and receiver development, including beamforming and processing algorithms
  • Oversee payload design updates and ensure compliance with performance and spacecraft requirements
  • Apply program management knowledge to achieve technical performance within cost and schedule constraints
Requirements:
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or a related field and 10 years of engineering experience with RF systems
  • Experience in the design, manufacturing, acquisition, analysis, or operation of complex array systems
  • Ability to perform basic independent RF link budgets
  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance
Desirable Qualifications:
  • M.S. in Electrical Engineering or a related field and 10 years of engineering experience with RF systems
  • Ability to effectively work with a large team of Government, FFRDC, and SETA contractors
  • Understanding of National Security Systems resulting in intelligence products
