Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Amentum. This role is pivotal in delivering quality assurance and control engineering services that support our operational activities.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be tasked with the following:
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining the Quality Assurance Management System (QAMS).
  • Conducting annual assessments and revisions of core QAMS documentation, which includes the QA Policy, QA Program Description, and Project-Specific QA Program Plans.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and contractual obligations.
  • Coordinating changes to the QAMS with internal stakeholders to guarantee the effective dissemination of applicable QA requirements.
  • Overseeing the Nonconformance Reporting (NCR) process in line with established standards.
  • Creating and updating procedures, training materials, and other essential tools.
  • Assisting in the management of NCR tracking databases.
  • Implementing quality assurance requirements for analytical services and environmental standards.
  • Leading initiatives for quality assurance and control across assigned programs to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Providing mentorship to junior professionals in the field.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience in quality assurance, particularly within nuclear quality assurance programs.
  • Proficiency in corrective action processes and cause analysis.
  • Experience in overseeing engineering design, procurement, and testing.
