Job Title: Performance Assurance Manager

Job Summary:

The Performance Assurance Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing assurance and regulatory programs to ensure compliance with DOE orders, federal regulations, and DOE oversight policies. This role will work closely with internal teams, DOE representatives, and others as needed to ensure a high standard of performance, safety, and continuous improvement in support of Occupational Medical Services at the Hanford Site in Richland, Washington.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develops, implements, and maintains a comprehensive Quality Assurance Program in alignment with DOE Orders (including DOE O 414.1D) including programs related to requirements management.
  • Plans, conducts, and documents performance reviews/assessments to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of management systems and processes.
  • Manages support of the IHA departments in implementing corrective and improvement actions to address issues and risks associated with processes, equipment, and systems.
  • Leads and coordinates required regulatory accreditation from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC).
  • Attends meetings and completes tasks as the IHA Chief Information Officer.
  • Manages the development of institutional performance reports for presentation to IHA executive leadership and sponsors.
  • Conducts incident investigations and causal analysis.
  • Leads the implementation and continuous improvement of the Contractor Assurance System in accordance with DOE O 226.1B.
  • Monitors and assesses contractor performance, safety practices, and effectiveness of work processes.
  • Develops, tracks, and reports CAS performance indicators and metrics.
  • Develops performance improvement plans and risk management strategies to ensure operational excellence.
  • Facilitates training programs to ensure all IHA staff are aware of and compliant with quality and assurance policies.
  • Tracks costs associated with assigned work and manages work within approved budgets.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years of recent experience in performance assurance, quality assurance, or contractor assurance within the DOE or a similar federal regulatory environment.
  • In-depth understanding of DOE Orders, federal oversight policies, and contractor assurance systems, specifically DOE O 414.1D and DOE O 226.1B.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Experience in working with diverse teams and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
Education/Training:
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Quality Management or related field.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • A high level of professional knowledge and experience in medical technology which includes 3 years of progressive responsibility in the specialty of Quality Assurance.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish goals and meet organizational objectives is essential.
  • Demonstrated organization, facilitation, written and oral communication, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated skills in collaboration, teamwork, and problem-solving to achieve goals.
  • Demonstrated skills in verbal communication and listening.

  • A high level of integrity and trust.
  • Extensive familiarity with health care relevant legislation and standards for the protection of health information and patient privacy.
  • Health care legal, operational, and or financial skills.
Licenses/Certifications/Registrations:
  • Certifications such as Certified Quality Manager (CQM), Six Sigma, or similar performance assurance certifications.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Management of Performance Assurance team.
Working Conditions:
  • General medical office environment may require minor lifting and bending.

Salary Description: $130,000.
