Hematology Oncology Physician Position in Danville, KY

We are seeking an experienced Hematology/Oncology physician for a locum tenens position in Danville, KY. This opportunity offers a competitive pay rate of $3800/day-$4000/day.
About the OpportunityThis is a 13-week assignment requiring a physician with expertise in hematology and oncology. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities- Evaluate and treat patients with blood disorders and various cancers, including administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, manage side effects, and coordinate care with other specialists.
- Consult with other physicians and members of the healthcare team on complex hematological and oncological cases.
- Provide patient education about diagnoses, treatment options, and disease management to support informed decision-making.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Residency training program in internal medicine accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
- Fellowship training in Hem/Onc.
- Board certification in hematology and/or oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM).
- Active and unrestricted medical license in Kentucky.
