About the Role

The Senior Release Train Engineer is a key member of our team, responsible for facilitating and coaching a moderately complex Agile Release Train (ART). This role ensures all events are aligned with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methods, adding speed and value to product delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the overall facilitator and coach of a moderately complex Agile Release Train (ART)
  • Leverage various Agile methodologies and Program Maturity, Assessments, Metrics, Dashboards to coach and demonstrate value delivery with continuous improvement
  • Encourage a culture of innovation by implementing SAFe Agile processes and principles, including techniques to increase collaboration, predictability, transparency, and velocity
  • Act as the ART conductor, leading the appropriate use of SAFe principles, ceremonies, and tools for a moderately complex program
  • Foster a Continuous Exploration process that drives the synthesis of a Vision, a Roadmap, and Backlogs, and through Pre- and Post-PI Planning events
  • Coach technical teams, scrum masters, and business partners in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets
  • Help teams refine value streams and identify and remediate related dependencies/barriers
  • Encourage collaboration between teams and System and Solution Architects and Engineering
  • Create collaborative environments resulting in aligned decisions among program, technical, and business teams
  • Orchestrate synchronized program-level processes and execute across several scrum and product teams
  • Work with Product and Solution Management, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to ensure strategy and execution alignment
  • Drive relentless improvement via Inspect and Adapt workshops; assess the agility level of the ART and help them improve
Requirements
  • 5+ years related experience, including 2+ on large-scale, technically complex projects
  • Familiarity with one or more Agile Lifecycle Management Tools, such as Azure DevOps or JIRA Align
  • Familiarity and experience working within the SAFe Framework as an IT Project Manager, Scrum Master, or other related mentorship-type role
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum/Kanban development methodology
  • Demonstrate execution through complex value streams
  • Success in working across multiple teams of stakeholders, including IT Teams, Business Teams, Product Managers, Product Owners, and Portfolio Managers
  • Excellent communication skills, mentorship/leadership competencies, expertise in operating through influence, and high-level emotional intelligence
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Scaled Agile (SAFe) certification(s): RTE and/or Safe Program Consultant (SPC)
  • Advanced Scrum Master certification, such as CSP-SM, A-CSM, or PSM III
  • Prior experience in the health solutions industry
  • Familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
