Key Responsibilities
  • Provide tactical, strategic, and administrative support to multiple program areas, including training, quality control, quality assurance, traffic management, airspace, and procedures.
  • Responsible for maintaining and improving operational materials and resources within assigned areas of specialty.
  • Communicate effectively with intra-facility, inter-facility, and industry stakeholders.
  • Make recommendations for new projects and studies, taking into account available resources and facility goals and objectives.
  • Apply expertise to complete projects, studies, and facility reports.
  • Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of equipment, facilities, and procedures.
  • Conduct investigations, evaluations, and briefs facility personnel.
  • Develop methods to improve customer service and the quality of support provided.
  • Collaborate with facilities, provide feedback, and consult with other Staff Support Specialists.
Requirements
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • Must submit an SF50 (Notification of Personnel Action) containing information in Blocks 15, 17, 18, 19, 22, and 24.
  • Current Medical may be required if selectee maintains Operational Currency.
  • Interviews will be conducted in accordance with applicable Collective Bargaining Unit Agreement and/or Agency Policy.
Qualifications
  • Specialized Experience: Must have held an FAA 2152 FG-14 or above regional or headquarters position for at least 1 year (52 weeks); or Must have been facility rated or area certified for at least 1 year (52 weeks) in an ATS Facility; or Must have held an MSS position for at least 1 year (52 weeks) in an ATS facility.
