Job Summary

At Dakota Fluid Power, we are seeking a highly skilled Compressed Air Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for analyzing, maintaining, and repairing compressed air systems, components, and piping.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with the DFP Sales and Service team to provide diagnostic, maintenance, repair, and technical support for compressed air applications.
  • Analyze compressed air systems and recommend upgrades to improve efficiency and performance.
  • Service and repair on-road and off-road equipment, as well as fluid power and industrial compressed air systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with supplier and DFP forms, documents, and procedures to maintain accurate repair documentation.
  • Uphold the Dakota Fluid Power safety commitment in all actions and communications.
  • Assist in product and technical training for customers and personnel on compressed air products.
  • Attend required training programs on products, factory-sponsored sales/service training, service, self-development, and safety training.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to inquiries quickly and accurately.
  • Collaborate with sales to meet customer expectations and achieve corporate objectives.
  • Maintain a minimum working knowledge of standard products to respond to initial sales inquiries.
  • Communicate with the service manager for needs on tools, equipment, and inventory.
  • Ability to work overtime, travel, and work occasional on-call shifts.
  • Capable of multitasking and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Maintain a clean work area for safety and to expedite project completion.
  • Work collaboratively to create a friendly, inviting, and positive team environment.
Requirements

We are looking for a skilled and motivated individual with the following qualifications:

  • Knowledge of troubleshooting, repair, and installation of compressed air and/or pneumatic systems, components, and compressed air electronic systems.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical/mechanical drawings and schematics.
  • Strong motivation to stay updated with the latest in compressed air concepts.
  • Excellent analytical and computational skills.
  • Proven multitasking skills and ability to work under extreme pressure.
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • Strong motivation and ability to work independently.
  • High level of integrity and ethical values.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong computer skills for record-keeping.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. on a regular basis.
  • Consistently use arms and legs with full-range of motion.
  • Frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling.
  • Exert push and pull forces.
