Job Overview

Position: First Officer (FO)

The First Officer will act as the Second in Command (SIC) on flights operated by 21 Air that require a two-pilot crew. This role necessitates readiness to take over the responsibilities of the Pilot in Command (PIC) in the event of incapacitation. The First Officer is directly accountable to the Captain for the flight and must adhere to all regulations and directives relevant to flight operations as established by the Captain.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to 21 Air's approved manuals, Operations Specifications, and applicable regulations including FARs, FAA Orders, and Manufacturer's recommendations.
  • Follow all administrative protocols, including maintaining qualifications, currency requirements, and compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct in line with 21 Air's culture and values.
  • Stay current and licensed for all assigned flights, both domestic and international.
  • Promptly inform the Chief Pilot of any issues that may impact safety or regulatory compliance.

2. Authority and Leadership

  • Take necessary actions to address any safety or compliance issues that arise.
  • When designated by the Captain, lead the Flight Crew to fulfill operational requirements effectively.
  • Complete additional administrative tasks as directed by the Chief Pilot.
  • Delegate responsibilities appropriately while retaining accountability for the position.
Minimum Qualifications:
  1. Possession of an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (ATP) with Multi-Engine Land Rating.
  2. A minimum of 1,500 hours of total pilot experience.
  3. Holding an FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
  4. Completion of a simulator evaluation (waivable by the Company).
