Position Overview

This role involves conducting Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures to generate three-dimensional images of tissues, organs, and other body structures, which are utilized by radiologists for identifying abnormalities, diagnosing conditions, and formulating treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform MRI procedures on patients: Prepare patients for the MRI examination, explain the process, administer contrast agents when necessary, position patients for the MRI scanner, select suitable imaging techniques, and ensure the technical quality of the scans.
  • Enter and monitor patient data accurately.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on MRI equipment and matrix cameras.
  • Assist with the initial and renewal applications for ACR and other accreditations.
  • Identify and report any incidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to department management.
  • Be available for emergency calls within the department.
  • Ensure safe care for patients, staff, and visitors by adhering to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards, including effective time and supply management, productivity, and service quality.
  • Promote personal professional growth by fulfilling requirements for mandatory and continuing education, and skills competency; support department-based objectives that contribute to the organization's success; serve as a mentor and resource for less experienced staff.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to caring for every individual in our community by creating compassionate and personalized experiences, while embodying Memorial Hermann's service standards through safe, caring, personalized, and efficient interactions with patients and colleagues.
