Internship Program Overview

The Polaris Marketing Internship Program is a structured 12-week paid summer opportunity designed for aspiring sophomores, juniors, and seniors eager to build a career in the global powersports sector.

As a Marketing Trainee, you will engage in significant project-based tasks that are directly aligned with our business goals. These assignments may offer exposure within our marketing sector across various business units, focusing on targeted development in the following areas:

  • Customer & Channel - Consumer Insights, Dealer Marketing, Personalized Marketing
  • Marketing Strategy & Vision - Brand Marketing, Product Marketing
  • Creative & Digital - Digital Marketing, Content Strategy, Social Media Management

Potential Internship Locations: Various locations.

This program serves as a key pathway into our rotational leadership development initiative, equipping you with essential skills and experiences to excel in your professional journey. Interns who exhibit outstanding performance and a desire to learn may be considered for a returning internship or a full-time role, based on eligibility.

Alongside meaningful project work, interns will have the chance to network and participate in dedicated programming designed for all interns. This includes professional development opportunities such as:

  • Mentorship – pairing with a mentor from our team for guidance throughout your internship.
  • Intern Programming - weekly learning sessions to expand your knowledge both within and beyond your assigned program.
  • Networking - intentional opportunities to connect with peers and leaders at Polaris to enhance your professional network.
  • Intern Innovation Challenge: collaborate with fellow interns on a cross-functional team to devise and present innovative solutions to an internal case study.
  • Early Talent Summit: participate in a comprehensive event filled with professional development, structured networking, and engaging activities.
  • Community Engagement - opportunities to volunteer alongside fellow interns.
  • Final Presentations: showcase your career aspirations and summarize your internship experience during concluding presentations.

The Selection Process:

Applications are accepted during the designated recruitment period. Candidates will be invited to participate in a panel interview with an HR representative and a functional leader. Upon accepting an offer, you will collaborate with the Early Talent team to be matched with your specific intern role and project through a matching process.

Intern Relocation Assistance:

Polaris provides relocation support for qualifying interns through a dedicated program. Eligibility for these services requires that your home address is a certain distance from the office where you will be working. Benefits include a relocation stipend and access to a relocation counselor to assist with securing temporary housing.

Required Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Strategic Communications, or a related field with a focus on Marketing.
  • Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
  • Availability to commit to a full 12-week internship working 40 hours per week.
  • Geographic flexibility to participate in the intern matching process.
  • Demonstrated strengths in analysis, creative problem-solving, communication, interpersonal skills, self-motivation, and leadership.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and Word).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous internship or co-op experience.
  • Leadership experience in work, organizations, or academic settings.
  • Completion of at least two years of university coursework.
