This position offers a competitive salary of $2,715.52 per week and the chance to work in the vibrant city of Burlington, Vermont.

Job Description

The Operating Room Registered Nurse will be responsible for delivering specialized care throughout surgical procedures.

This includes preparing the operating room team, maintaining aseptic conditions, aiding surgeons, and monitoring patients.

The successful candidate will have 2 years of recent OR nursing experience and strong communication and adaptability skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized nursing care in the operating room, assisting with surgical procedures and ensuring patient safety.
  • Prepare operating rooms for surgery, including setting up equipment, sterilizing instruments, and ensuring aseptic conditions.
  • Collaborate with surgical teams to assist with procedures, maintain a sterile field, and anticipate the needs of surgeons and other team members.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and assist with anesthesia administration and airway management as needed during surgery.
  • Provide postoperative care, including wound care, monitoring recovery, and educating patients and their families on postoperative instructions and self-care.
