Residential Counselor Weekend Day Shift

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Counselor to join our team at CSAAC. As a Residential Counselor, you will play a vital role in providing direct care and support to individuals with autism living in our group residences.
Key Responsibilities- Provide one-to-one direct care and support to residents, assisting with activities of daily living, including money management, housekeeping, cooking, personal care, and hygiene.
- Develop and maintain a warm, clean, and safe home environment that promotes the optimal development of residents.
- Implement individual activity schedules and document all activities to ensure the effective implementation of Individual Programs (IPs).
- Work with the Residential Program Manager to account for individual monies and teach money management techniques to residents who experience difficulties managing their personal funds.
- Adhere to the mandatory use of the CIMS system to access, send email, and report health information, data, and incidents for individuals supported in the CSAAC program.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a human services discipline (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, etc.) preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Two (2) years' experience working with individuals with autism required if candidate only holds a high school diploma. One (1) year related experience as noted above required if candidate holds an Associate's degree.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to exercise patience, care, and concern in new and sometimes stressful situations.
- Strong organizational skills required to provide effective case management services to assigned residents.
- Computer literacy required, with competency in the use of standard business software applications (e.g., word processing, spreadsheet, and email software).
