Residential Counselor Weekend Day Shift

CSAAC is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Counselor to join our team. As a Residential Counselor, you will play a vital role in providing direct care and support to individuals living in our group residences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one direct care and support to residents, assisting them with activities of daily living, including money management, housekeeping, cooking, personal care, and hygiene.
  • Develop and maintain a warm, clean, and safe home environment that promotes the optimal development of residents.
  • Implement individual activity schedules and document all activities on the weekly activity schedule.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of Individual Programs (IPs) and ensure that residents' needs are met.
  • Work with the Residential Program Manager to account for individual monies and teach money management techniques to residents who experience difficulties managing their personal funds.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a human services discipline (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, etc.) preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Two (2) years' experience working with individuals with autism required if candidate only holds a high school diploma. One (1) year related experience as noted above required if candidate holds an Associate's degree.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to exercise patience, care, and concern in new and sometimes stressful situations.
  • Strong organizational skills required to provide effective case management services to assigned residents.
