We are seeking a dedicated LPN or RN Charge Nurse to become a vital part of our team at Carespring.

Compensation: $28 to $40 per hour (up to $46.00 with shift differential)


The LPN or RN Charge Nurse will collaborate with the Nursing Supervisor to oversee comprehensive patient care within the nursing unit and manage unit operations effectively.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Administering both administrative and patient care duties
  • Supervising and guiding STNAs
  • Ensuring compliance with departmental policies among personnel, medical staff, patients, and visitors
  • Operating within the designated unit as directed by the D.O.N., A.D.O.N., or Supervisor
  • Reviewing the 24-hour report sheet for updates in patient care requirements
  • Conducting rounds and supervising nursing assistant care
  • Administering medications (including IV) and treatments as per physician orders
  • Addressing the spiritual and psychological needs of patients with available resources
  • Facilitating and directing the patient admission and discharge processes
  • Communicating reports with incoming staff at shift changes
  • Transcribing physician orders and handling telephone inquiries
  • Assessing patient care needs and enhancing individual care plans
  • Managing patient admissions in the absence of the documentation nurse
  • Verifying and transcribing physician orders
  • Coordinating diagnostic and therapeutic needs both within and outside the facility
  • Ordering medications and treatments as necessary
  • Communicating patient needs to dietary services
  • Completing essential admission paperwork
  • Overseeing patient transfers and discharges
  • Arranging transportation and communicating with family members or responsible parties
  • Maintaining accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
  • Guiding and assisting with the cleaning and maintenance of equipment
  • Ensuring overall safety and cleanliness of the unit
  • Welcoming and directing visitors to the unit

Qualifications:
  • A valid nursing license in the state of Ohio
  • Completion of required continuing education hours
  • Good physical and mental health
  • A positive attitude and a passion for caring for the elderly
  • Willingness to perform non-professional duties as needed
  • Ability to remain calm and provide direction in emergency situations
  • Commitment to prioritizing patient needs
  • Advocacy for patient wellbeing
