Job Summary

The Senior Lean Leader will play a pivotal role in driving strategic and tactical support within the Greenville Manufacturing facility to develop and sustain a Lean/Inventory Strategy aligned with business imperatives. This role will work closely with the Plant Leadership team to further their customer-based process improvement strategy, focusing on safety, customer responsiveness, lead time reduction, and quality improvement in line with business/functional objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all actions focused on strategic lean transformation projects and initiatives.
  • Drive execution of lean initiatives and continuous improvement through leadership of kaizen events.
  • Lead production areas through significant lean transformations by coaching lean methodology and principles.
  • Provide leadership for continuous improvement, being an innovator of positive change that impacts safety, profitability, inventory turns, on-time delivery, lead-time, and quality.
  • Analyze problems, drive for root cause, and implement countermeasures to eliminate root cause failure modes.
  • Implement tools and metrics to improve visibility to operational health and lean performance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing).
  • Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in Lean deployment and driving changes in production shop floor through strategic projects.
  • Desired Characteristics:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
    • Formal Lean Training/certification.
    • Change agent with strong credibility and influence in the organization and ability to develop and motivate a high-involvement team through commitment to meeting customer and organization demands.
    • Must be able to multi-task, manage projects, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
    • Knowledge of manufacturing management such as production and inventory control, quality management systems, and standard cost systems.
    • Demonstrated commitment for process improvement.
    • Knowledge of products, processes, customer requirements, and budgeting/financial processes.
    • Strong interpersonal, leadership skills, and communication both written and oral.
