Job Summary

Georgetown University is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Clinician and Group Coordinator to join our Counseling and Psychiatric Service (CAPS) team. As a key member of our mental health team, you will be responsible for overseeing the groups program, planning and leading groups, and providing licensed supervision to trainees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the groups program, including planning, leading, and evaluating groups
  • Provide licensed supervision to trainees, including co-facilitating groups and presenting on group theory and dynamics
  • Collaborate with CAPS staff and Student Health Service staff to provide comprehensive mental health services to students
  • Consult with deans and faculty regarding student issues and provide support to students in facilitating informal support spaces on campus
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Doctorate in clinical or counseling psychology or a related field or an MSW
  • Licensure in the District of Columbia as a social worker or psychologist
  • Preferred qualifications: college mental health experience, demonstrable experience working with the issues noted above

The Staff Clinician and Group Coordinator will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a team of mental health professionals. The position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
