Job Summary:

The Dining Services Supervisor leads a team to service our onsite cafeterias, cafes, and coffee shops in addition to patient room service. The position oversees, or is directly responsible for, one or more of the following: inventory, cold food prep, cooking, plating, or room service. The position requires a keen focus on safety, quality, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervises and coordinates activities of operational units within the department (Production/Support Services, Raw Materials, Cafeteria, or Patient Services).
  • Schedules, supervises, trains, and evaluates unit employees.
  • Inventories, orders and monitors usage of food & supplies for unit; maintains documentation.
  • Monitors and assures food quality, product standards, sanitation and patient/customer service.
  • Initiates and maintains communications with unit customers, employees, department units, and outside departments supporting unit operations.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least one year of experience working in large volume food service, restaurant, or patient food service environments.
  • At least one year of supervisory experience in a food service setting.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Must possess basic math skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or higher.
  • Bilingual.
