At The University of Kansas Health System, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dining Services Cashier to join our team. As a key member of our dining services team, you will be responsible for handling all monetary transactions with customers, operating scales, scanners, and cash registers in an efficient and accurate manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up cash drawers, verify programmed prices with menu item prices, and clear and count receipts.
  • Maintain beverage stations, including stocking coffee machines, bottled juices, creamers, and replenishing china, disposable cups, and lids.
  • Restock condiment stations and paper supplies, including napkins and straws.
  • Keep cashier stations, beverage, condiment, and utensil areas organized and clean.
  • May replenish other areas as assigned by supervisor.
  • Provide excellent customer service to each and every customer.
  • Must be able to perform the professional, clinical, and technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.
Requirements:
  • High School Graduate or GED.
  • 1 or more years of cash handling or cashier experience.
  • 1 or more years of customer service experience.
Knowledge Requirements:
  • Ability to read and write in English.
  • Basic math and counting skills.
