About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Perioperative Assistant to join our team at Virtua Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical suites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain the OR suite, including common areas, to ensure a safe and efficient environment for patients and staff.
  • Assist with patient transfers, transportation, and positioning, using proper body mechanics to prevent injury.
  • Help set up the OR for each case, moving essential equipment into the room and cleaning and storing equipment after use.
  • Transport and handle specimens according to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Stock shelves and supplies, including linen and fluids, and assist with putting away warehouse supplies.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous patient care experience or skills.
  • A High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • BLS Certification.
