About the Role

Virtua Health is seeking a skilled Perioperative Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and prepare operating rooms for procedures, including setting up equipment and supplies.
  • Assist with patient transport and positioning, using proper body mechanics to ensure patient safety.
  • Help with specimen handling and transportation, adhering to strict protocols and procedures.
  • Stock and maintain supplies, including linen and equipment, to ensure a seamless workflow.
  • Collaborate with the Products Coordinator to receive and store warehouse supplies.
Requirements
  • Previous patient care experience or skills preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • BLS Certification required.
