Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Perioperative Assistant to join our team at Virtua Health. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will provide essential support services to ensure the smooth operation of our operating rooms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain the OR suite, prioritizing room turnover and common areas.
  • Assist with patient transfers, transportation, and positioning, utilizing correct body mechanics.
  • Help set up the OR for each case, moving essential equipment into the room, and cleaning and storing equipment after use.
  • Transport and handle specimens according to policies and procedures.
  • Stock shelves, linen, and fluids, and assist with putting away warehouse supplies.
Requirements
  • Previous patient care experience or skills preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • BLS Certification required.
