**About the Role:**

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Product Development Lead to join our team at REA Magnet Wire Corp.

As a key member of our automotive engineering group, you will lead technical activities on assigned product development projects, ensuring successful completion of Rea's product development process through APQP.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical, materials science, or chemical engineering, with experience in product/process engineering and knowledge of modern state-of-the-art equipment.

You will collaborate with laboratory resources to complete testing activities, work with plant members of the APQP team, and provide technical interface between key customers and Rea team members.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Lead technical activities on assigned automotive product development project
  • Plan and organize project activities from Phase 0 to Phase 5 of Rea's product development process
  • Translate customer requirements into specifications and testing activities
  • Identify risks and engineer risk mitigation activities for projects
  • Collaborate with laboratory resources to complete all testing activities called in the test plan

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Materials Science or Chemical Engineering – Master of Science preferred
  • Five to eight years of product/process engineering experience
  • Six Sigma greenbelt certification preferred
  • Knowledge of magnet wire products and applications preferred
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

**Salary Range:** $120,000 - $150,000 per year (depending on location)
