We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to join our team at AccorHotel. As a key member of our facilities operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's equipment and machinery, while also managing the budget and payroll for the Engineering department.
Key Responsibilities- Facilities Maintenance: Assist the Engineering department in ensuring that all equipment and machinery are running properly in all guest rooms and public space areas.
- Budget and Payroll Management: Monitor and control the annual Engineering budget, and assist in the preparation of the Capital Expenditures.
- Energy Management: Oversee the Energy management system and monitor utility costs to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and direct the Engineering staff, and recruit, schedule, and train new team members as needed.
- Emergency Response: Be available by phone for emergency response purposes, and assist in the preparation of the hotel's Emergency Response Team.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the hotel is in compliance with all municipal, provincial, and federal regulations related to operational functions, fire, and safety programs.
- Project Management: Oversee renovations of the hotel properties, including budgeting, scope of work preparation, and project management.
- Experience: Minimum three (3) years experience as an Engineering Manager in a similar sized hotel or a similar position in a large unionized heritage building.
- Education: Engineering degree/diploma and/or valid trade qualification required.
- Skills: Knowledgeable in all Regulations such as Building Codes, Fire & Health Dept; excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; highly organized, result-driven, and flexible with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Computer Literacy: Must be computer literate and familiar with Computerized Building Automation Programs, Maintenance Software, Auto CAD, and the Office Workplace package.
