Job Title: Principal - Civil Engineer

McLaren Engineering Group is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Principal - Civil Engineer to lead our civil engineering division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our regional business unit, including preparing proposals, managing staff, and overseeing project work.

Responsibilities:
  • Business Development and Marketing: Develop and execute business development and marketing strategies to grow our technical division in the local region.
  • Resource and Technical Management: Manage staff in the technical division, support project managers in maintaining project schedules and budgets, and ensure clients' expectations are met.
  • Financial and Accounting: Responsible for project budgets, assist in accounts receivable collections, and review electronic invoicing for office-managed projects.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited curriculum; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of twelve years' experience in engineering and management.
  • Professional Engineer registration and/or PMP Certification (preferred).
  • Excellent attention to detail and technical written and verbal communication skills; public speaking and presentation experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a propensity for the development, mentorship, and guidance of potential leaders.
  • Experience as a technical leader of a team of engineers.
  • Maintains knowledge of current industry trends and issues.
  • Able to thrive in a team-focused environment and engage in creative, critical thought; takes initiative and can function at a high level on multi-disciplinary teams.
