**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Emerson Discrete Automation in Aiken, South Carolina. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Perform and adhere to preventative maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Handle the delivery of hazardous chemicals and waste, and perform light maintenance repairs on simple hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical problems.
  • Install utilities such as conduit, wiring, and plumbing for air and water.
  • Check all equipment for lubricants and operate filter systems for cutting oil.
  • Assist other mechanics as needed, and run errands in town for parts and/or equipment.
  • Pick up parts, clean, paint, and assemble machines with a mechanic on duty.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Ensure safety is a primary responsibility of each operator, and obey all safety rules and make safety an integral part of each task.

**Requirements:**

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to use portable power tools, basic pneumatics, hydraulics troubleshooting, and have one to two years of experience as a LG 4 Multi-craftsman or equivalent experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Basic electronics and BS-001 basic blueprint reading skills.
  • Successful completion of a skill analysis as required.
