Key Responsibilities:
  • Detach and reinstall engines from turbofan and turboprop aircraft.
  • Conduct operational assessments and engine tests to confirm airworthiness before flights.
  • Examine aircraft following OEM Light or Heavy Maintenance guidelines.
  • Assess removed components for usability and document any issues (squawks). Reinstall and test components post-inspection.
  • Diagnose and repair all airframe systems as needed (hydraulics, landing gear, etc.). May perform fuel tank sealing on aircraft.
  • Record all completed work (sign-off) clearly and accurately.
  • Execute Service Bulletins, Repair Letters, and Airworthiness Directives as necessary.
  • Interpret maintenance manuals, blueprints, technical documents, and schematic diagrams as required.
  • Analyze various mechanical issues to identify causes and optimal repair methods.
  • Test and repair/adjust as necessary: engines, engine controls and accessories, propellers and controls, landing gear, hydraulic systems, and flight controls, adjusting rigging as needed.
  • Inspect and repair fuel, oil, oxygen, heating, cooling, and pressurization systems.

Position Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Eligibility Criteria:
  • A valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate is required. Non-licensed applicants must be able to obtain FAA Airframe and Powerplant License within 90 days of employment.
  • Proven technical proficiency on specific airframes and engines in inspections, maintenance, preventive maintenance, modifications, and repairs.
  • Ability to locate and apply FAA regulations, Advisory Circulars, Orders, Notices, etc.
  • Capacity to prioritize and organize work activities effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with customers and colleagues.
  • Authorization to work in the United States is required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, walk, bend, stretch, and climb ladders.
  • Clear thinking and articulate communication on the phone and in person.
  • Proficient in handling equipment of various sizes, tools, computer keyboards, and telephones.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination is essential.
