Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, update, and maintain accurate and complete medical records for patients.
  • Maintain appointment schedules and track compliance with scheduled appointments.
  • File and scan laboratory, radiology, and other reports in a timely manner.
  • Route clinical reports to appropriate staff members.
  • Archive clinical information in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Review documentation for completeness and route incomplete documents to providers for correction.
  • Utilize multiple systems to process narrative and tabular material to prepare and maintain medical records.
  • Perform record-keeping functions in accordance with program policies and position.
  • Maintain proficiency in electronic health records and complete required training.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum one year of experience in a healthcare setting as a medical record technician, clerk, or similar position.
  • Minimum one year of direct experience with proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, specifically MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
