Job Title: Medical Records Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Records Technician to join our team at The Arora Group. As a Medical Records Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of patient information.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, update, and maintain medical records for patients, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
  • Maintain appointment systems for patients and clinical staff, tracking compliance with scheduled appointments and sending timely reminders.
  • File and scan laboratory, radiology, and other reports in the electronic medical record, routing clinical reports to appropriate staff within prescribed timelines.
  • Archive clinical information from medical records within established timelines, adhering to IHSC policies and procedures.
  • Review documentation for completeness, routing incomplete documents to providers for correction before placing or scanning in medical records.
  • Utilize multiple systems to process narrative and tabular material, preparing, updating, and maintaining medical records and providing required information to medical personnel.
  • Maintain proficiency in electronic health records, completing competencies and training as required.
  • Participate in analyzing established protocol practices and identifying areas for improvement, maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum one-year experience in a healthcare setting as a medical record technician, clerk, or similar position.
  • Minimum one-year direct experience with proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, specifically MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
  • Heartsaver CPR AED certification through the American Heart Association.
