Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated On-Site Engineer/Representative to act as a key communicator during the construction phase of a significant project. This role will involve serving as a bridge between the project owner, design team, and general contractor, focusing on construction-related design modifications. The successful candidate will facilitate the flow of information among all parties involved, ensuring clarity and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

The selected individual will be responsible for:
  • Managing design and construction documentation effectively.
  • Assessing the alignment of ongoing work with design specifications.
  • Coordinating design document reviews across various disciplines.
  • Identifying when to escalate issues to the design team based on experience.
  • Understanding relevant building codes and regulations.
  • Maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Conducting field observations and ensuring safety during construction activities.
  • Adapting to the evolving priorities of the project owner.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in large-scale construction projects.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
  • Experience with data center projects is advantageous.
  • Prior experience with consulting firms in a construction capacity.
  • Ability to interpret and manage construction schedules.
  • Problem-solving skills to address engineering challenges effectively.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in multidisciplinary construction projects.
  • Understanding of contracts and construction regulations.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
