Job Overview

Position Summary

We are looking for skilled field service specialists with expertise in the mechanical assembly and maintenance of asphalt production machinery. Candidates must be willing to travel across the country and occasionally abroad.

Selected individuals will participate in on-site installations, machinery repairs, and operational startups. This position will frequently require collaboration with fellow field technicians, contractors, engineers, and sales representatives. Responsibilities will encompass piping, component repairs, and both disassembly and installation of equipment. Physical stamina is essential due to the nature of the work.

Applicants should possess knowledge of crane rigging and be capable of operating equipment such as telehandlers to position machinery for installation. Given the diverse skill levels present on job sites, strong problem-solving abilities are crucial. Many projects are based on fixed installation bids, thus prompt and effective solutions are necessary.

Safety is a critical component of this role. The selected candidate will work closely with the safety director on most assignments and will be required to complete OSHA and MSHA training, as well as CPR and first aid certifications. Additional safety training may include fire watch, confined space entry, and hazardous materials handling.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated field experience
  • Proficient in troubleshooting, testing, repairing, and servicing mechanical systems
  • Familiar with standard hand and power tools and their uses
  • Adept at spatial layout of equipment with precision
  • Skilled in establishing benchmarks and reference points
  • Competent in interpreting CAD drawings from general layouts to detailed specifications
  • Ability to weld, cut, and fabricate as necessary
