Senior Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to play a key role in helping BASS Medical Group make informed business decisions and provide accurate financial information to our stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the monthly/quarterly close process, review/prepare the monthly flux analysis, and ensure timely reporting to executive management.
  • Establish and manage accounting processes and controls, including policies and procedures for financial reporting.
  • Oversee accounting and finance activities for multiple entities, including budgets, accounting activities, close, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare and distribute financial statements to senior management and investors.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
  • Make recommendations for changes and ensure company policies and procedures are established and followed.
  • Perform routine account reconciliations and maintain supporting documentation.
  • Collaborate with the Finance team to develop and refine close-related processes.
  • Perform analytical review procedures, including monthly flux analysis and budget vs actuals vs forecast.
Requirements:
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with flexibility to adapt and adjust on an ad hoc basis.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of GAAP and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with financial statement analysis, budget, and projection.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to details.
  • Identify and automate processes to eliminate waste, repetitive tasks, and improve efficiency.
  • Must be a team player with a Can Do and positive attitude.
  • Must be able to multi-task and manage priorities in an ever-changing environment.
  • Self-starter capable of finding solutions with minimal supervision.
  • Strong inter-personal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Possess excellent computer skills, including experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • Eight or more years of finance and accounting experience in a fast-paced, results-oriented, hands-on environment at a medium-sized company; CPA is a plus.
  • Experience establishing accounting processes and controls.
  • Prior Accounts Payable experience required.
  • Candidate must be able to submit verification of their legal right to work in the United States, without company sponsorship.
Compensation Package:

BASS Medical Group offers a comprehensive benefits program, including health and welfare benefits, retirement savings and income security, and work-life balance benefits.

Compensation will be based on experience, with a pay scale/range of $80,000 - $95,000 annual salary.

Employees' actual pay rate will depend on a host of factors, including job location, specialty, skillset, education, and experience.
