Counselor Supervisor Job Description

BayMark Health Services is seeking a highly skilled Counselor Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our clinical leadership team, you will be responsible for supervising counselors and counselor interns who provide treatment and casework services to patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assign and manage counselor caseloads, ensuring timely and effective delivery of services.
  • Direct and supervise intake operations, reviewing assessments for quality and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Direct pre-admission decisions, case reviews, and counseling meetings to ensure services are provided in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct quality assurance file reviews, ensuring accurate and current clinical records are maintained.
  • Provide direct supervision to clinicians, assisting in ongoing supervision of staff through meetings, in-service trainings, and reviewing literature.
  • Ensure efficient and effective delivery of counseling services to all patients, maintaining a positive and non-judgmental attitude toward our patient population.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Current licensure as an independently licensed clinician and supervisor in New Mexico, including LISW/LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, LPAT, psychologist, psychiatrist, and LADAC for substance use disorder.
  • Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals, demonstrating a positive and accepting attitude toward our patient population.
  • Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screen.
