Laboratory Operations Director

The Staff Pad is partnering with a leading non-profit healthcare system in Montana to deliver exceptional patient care.
About the Role:
This exciting opportunity as Laboratory Operations Director plays a vital part in ensuring seamless laboratory services. The ideal candidate will oversee daily operations, maintaining efficiency and compliance while fostering a culture of excellence within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day laboratory operations, guaranteeing smooth workflows and effective resource utilization.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders across departments to enhance communication and operational effectiveness.
- Cultivate a culture of trust, accountability, and continuous improvement among staff members.
- Resolve operational issues and support staff in addressing concerns promptly and effectively.
- Promote and ensure adherence to quality control, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance standards.
- Collaborate with leadership in strategic planning, budget evaluation, and development.
- Oversee staffing schedules to meet operational needs and productivity goals.
- Lead and participate in departmental projects aimed at process improvement and operational excellence.
- Act as a liaison between Laboratory Services and other departments to optimize patient care and service delivery.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:
- A minimum of five years' experience in a fast-paced healthcare or business environment, preferably with previous leadership experience in a laboratory setting.
- A Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) required; Master's degree preferred.
- Current licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) is strongly preferred.
