Job Summary:

The Bridge Inspection Team Lead is responsible for leading inspection teams and assisting in the successful completion of inspection and design projects for Collins Engineers, Inc.

This role requires a strong background in civil engineering and experience with bridge inspection and design.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering and a minimum of 4 to 5 years of bridge or ancillary structure inspection experience.

Responsibilities include supervising inspection teams, reviewing and analyzing field and design issues, and preparing project budgets and schedules.

The Bridge Inspection Team Lead will also be responsible for directing and supervising the work of entry-level engineers, technicians, drafters, and administrative staff.

Additionally, the candidate will be expected to use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.

The successful candidate will be active in technical societies and available to attend meetings or events outside of normal working hours.

They will also be responsible for observing and acting in an appropriate manner related to safety.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited four-year university
  • Minimum of 4 to 5 years of bridge or ancillary structure inspection experience
  • Pass the NHI/FHWA Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges course
  • Engineer-In-Training (E.I.T.) certification
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification preferred
  • NICET certification preferred
