Job Summary

The Activities Assistant will assist in planning, coordinating, and executing various activities and events within our Memory Care Unit. These may include arts and crafts, music sessions, exercise classes, outings, and other recreational activities. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, creativity, and a passion for working with older adults.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing and implementing a calendar of events and activities tailored to the interests and needs of our residents.
  • Plan and conduct programs that promote physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless execution of events and activities.
  • Provide support to residents with daily tasks and activities as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Recreation, Sociology, Psychology, or related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years experience in assisted living or long-term care working with memory care patients preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Able to motivate and encourage older adults.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Demonstrated creativity and ability to think outside the box.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $35,000 - $45,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide comprehensive benefits including health insurance, paid time off, and meal plans.
