Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Manager to join our team at Dorman Products. As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for driving business growth and performance at the product portfolio level by leveraging all key levers of commercial, product, engineering, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute annual and 3-year category plans based on market potential, customer opportunity, and new product platforms.
  • Lead the team to define the category Right To Win and category SWOT update.
  • Drive market analysis, including analysis of competitive landscape, market segmentation, and customer trends.
  • Provide support and leadership to the product teams in performing product trend and product gap analysis, analyzing new product opportunities, and market conditions through trade shows, customer visits, and field research.
  • Manage product portfolio in terms of profitability, market share, growth rate, market segmentation, and different life cycle phases.
  • Complete perpetual gap analyses and drive clear, effective communication to Director (and above) informing of business opportunities, threats, or roadblocks and presenting a feasible alternative solution.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in Product Management with growing responsibilities and proven wins.
  • Strong analytical mindset, with a thorough understanding of a category's financial health through P&L management, coupled with a solid understanding of the product development process and operations management to effectively drive positive financial impact.
  • Fluent knowledge of Microsoft Office software and specifically Excel, including pivot tables and v-lookups.
  • Physical Requirement: Must have the capability to lift 20 pounds.
  • Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the contributor may be required to reach, swivel, carry items from building to another, speak, and actively listen. Noise level is usually moderate.
Education/Experience
  • B.S. degree in Business preferred.
