Job OpportunityWe are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to contribute to our team as a financial statement auditor. As a key member of our firm, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of non-profit organizations' financial statements and internal controls.Responsibilities
  1. Conduct thorough and independent audits of client financial statements, ensuring adherence to relevant accounting principles, regulations, and best practices.
  2. Evaluate and assess the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management processes.
  3. Perform detailed testing and analysis of financial transactions, supporting documentation, and general ledger accounts.
  4. Identify and communicate any irregularities, discrepancies, or potential areas of improvement to management, and recommend corrective actions.
  5. Stay updated with evolving accounting standards and regulatory requirements applicable to non-profit organizations and ensure adherence to these standards in financial reporting and auditing processes.
  6. Prepare clear and concise audit reports summarizing findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
  7. Preparation of non-profit tax returns
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, IT or a related field.
  2. Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) and financial reporting requirements.
  3. Proficiency in using accounting software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) to analyze financial data and perform audit procedures.
  4. Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
  6. Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
