About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Specialist to join our team at Williams Companies Inc. As a Technical Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our measurement facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze facilities for deficiencies and suggest remedies
  • Complete various projects using your skills, expertise, and judgment
  • Work with others to keep our division measurement facilities working safely and reliably
  • Perform internal inspection of meter tubes using electronic fiber scope, mechanical micrometers, and calibers
  • Troubleshoot and resolve sophisticated problems using technical evaluation, innovation, and judgment
  • Develop, present, and train internal and external partners
  • Participate in project planning and work closely with company partners
  • Lead development and tasks associated with operations, equipment maintenance, technical standards, and/or governmental requirements
Requirements
  • High school diploma/GED and equivalent experience or Associates degree in engineering or a technical field and a minimum of four (4) years' experience in oil & gas industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills
  • Experience in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), HMI, Allen Bradley, and SCADA solutions
  • Understanding of PLC Programming
  • Experience working with high-pressure natural gas and piping systems
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical field and minimum seven (7) years of progressive experience in field operations or other technical specialty
  • Experience in the operations of natural gas measurement metering, regulating, and gas quality equipment
  • Proficiency with AGA Standards AGA 3 AGA 7, AGA 9, and API 21.1
  • Ability to solve pneumatic control system issues
